Our Friday Class schedule will have two series of classes at two different locations. The location for the first class series will be at Chef Darin's Kitchen Table and the second series location will be held at the Georgia State Railroad Museum, site of our Saturday Taste of Savannah event. Any "All Day" class passes noted below are location specific and NOT day specific. Patron's should also be aware that there is a time overlap between the last class at the Kitchen Table and the first class at the Railroad Museum.

Kitchen Table Class FR-KT2: You’re a Shining Star – No Matter What Vegetable You Are!

Time: 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM

Location: Chef Darin's Kitchen Table

Address: 2514 Abercorn St, #140, Savannah GA

Led by Kevin Johnson – executive chef and owner of Charleston, SC’s The Grocery and three-time James Beard Award semi-finalist – this class will explore all things vegetable. Chef Johnson first began cooking thanks to his vegetarianism and the limited options it presented. Even years after ending his vegetarianism, his interest continues to grow and evolve, and his signature style highlights vegetables by making them the central ingredient in a dish while protein takes a secondary – but still very important – role. In this class, you will learn to take the season’s best produce and turn it into the star of your meal.

* Enjoy Treasury Wine Estates selections paired with each dish!

**Please note that this class is not strictly vegetarian; however, while the focus is on vegetables, chef Johnson will also show you how to best compliment proteins when using produce.
