In 2010 at the age of 29, Chef Kurtis and his now, wife, Sarah opened The Tybee Island Social Club. This Southern surfer safari setting has become a beloved favorite of locals and garnered national press for it's "upscale tacos" as quoted in The Wall Street Journal, and "a romantic do-not-miss spot" in USA Today. Together, they opened Tybee Island Fish Camp, in 2014. A quaint 1950's cottage nestled under live oaks with a mere 30 seats inside, and a menu that changes nightly where conversation amongst his servers and his patrons educate the inquisitive regarding his selections of often unpredictable ingredient pairings which underline his comfortable approach to fine dining. The two expanded yet again in 2015 with bờ biển hut, a pan Asian restaurant focusing on a fresh spin to traditional flavors.
