A showcase of extraordinary wines by the Michael Mondavi Family, hosted by Rob Mondavi, Jr, this will be the one not-to-miss event at the 2013 Savannah Food & Wine Festival. Guests will enjoy top wines from Isabel Mondavi, Emblem Napa Valley and the company’s flagship M by Michael Mondavi.
In addition, the evening will feature a rare and exquisite Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1971 vintage. This wine has been held in the family’s personal wine cellar for nearly 40 years and will be opened in celebration of the inaugural Savannah Food & Wine Festival. This release is one of the rarest gems in the family’s collection.
With many special celebrity guests and celebrated chefs Chris Hastings and Kent Rathbun preparing a spectacular four-course meal, along with Host Chef Sir Roger Michel, this will be a night to remember.
Additionally, Chef Jean Yves Vendeville, department head of the Culinary Institute of Savannah Technical College, will be providing a number of the best and brightest culinary arts students to assist at the dinner. The College’s ACF - accredited Culinary Institute of Savannah is consistently one of the top programs in the country and attracts students from across the state. The award-winning culinary arts program along with the newly-launched baking and pastry program currently enroll about 200 students.
Topping off this extraordinary evening, all attendees will receive a souvenir wine glass to commemorate this special occasion.
