James Beard Finalist for Best Chef South, Vishwesh Bhatt of Snackbar in Oxford, MS brings his love affair with southern cuisine to the tables of Savannah.  Finding a successful career in the culinary traditions of the South, Chef Bhatt wants to talk one thing – black-eyed peas. Thought to bring prosperity by consuming at the start of the New Year (or so Southern lore has it), Chef Bhatt will demonstrate how to prepare your own black-eyed pea and collard green minestra as well as savor black-eyed pea griddle cakes to ensure you are set up for success as you ring in 2019!

Time: 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM

Winemaker Harry Hansen of Napa Valley’s esteemed Sterling Vineyards will guide attendees of this class through a tasting of three consecutive vintages – 2013, 2014, and the very new 2015 release – of Sterling Platinum.  During this exciting new tasting attendees will learn first hand from Mr. Hansen the production process behind each vintage.  Passionate wine drinkers will not want to miss this chance to discover the inner workings behind Sterling’s rich heritage and groundbreaking wines.
